What this covers

This policy describes what Unsittable, a native macOS app, does and does not do with your data. It applies to the app itself and to unsittable.com.

The Mac app has no account, analytics, or telemetry

Unsittable does not ask you to create an app account. The Mac app does not include analytics, crash reporting, advertising identifiers, or usage tracking. It does not build a profile of you or your Mac.

Optional website ad measurement

unsittable.com asks before loading Meta Pixel. If you choose Allow, the website sends Meta page views and events such as requesting the Mac link, downloading the DMG, or opening checkout. Meta may receive the page URL, browser and device information, IP address, and its own cookie or advertising identifiers. We use this only to attribute and improve Unsittable advertising. It does not receive camera frames, movement data, app activity, or your license key.

If you choose Not now, Meta Pixel is not loaded on unsittable.com. Your choice is stored in this browser. You can change the choice at any time. Meta processes data under its own privacy policy.

Emailing the Mac download link

If you enter your email on unsittable.com, Buttondown receives and stores it to send a confirmation, deliver the Mac download link, and send occasional Unsittable product updates. We do not sell these addresses or upload them to advertising platforms. You can unsubscribe from any message. Buttondown processes this information under its privacy policy.

Camera and movement data

When a break starts, Unsittable reads frames from your camera and runs Apple's on-device Vision framework to estimate your pose and count squats. This processing happens entirely on your Mac. Frames are held in memory only, are never written to disk, never uploaded, and never used to train any model. Nothing about your camera feed leaves your Mac.

License activation and validation

Unsittable is sold as a one-time license. When you activate or manually revalidate your license, the app sends two things to Lemon Squeezy's license API: the license key you entered, and a randomly generated local installation identifier with a short instance label (for example, a device name), so Lemon Squeezy can enforce the activation limit on your license. This does not include your camera data, hardware serial number, or precise location. Activation is one-time and cached; Unsittable does not poll or re-check your license in the background. You can manually revalidate or deactivate a license from Settings at any time.

Your license key and activation record are stored locally in the macOS Keychain on your Mac. Unsittable does not operate its own server or database of customers.

Optional update checks

Unsittable can check for new versions using an opt-in updater. When enabled, this makes a standard web request to unsittable.com to fetch an update manifest and, if you choose to install an update, the update file itself. These are ordinary web requests; the site's hosting provider, Cloudflare, sees standard access logs like any website visit (for example, IP address and timestamp), the same way it would for anyone browsing unsittable.com. This check is off unless you turn it on, and you can turn it off again at any time in Settings.

Purchase, payment, and hosting

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record for the sale, and Stripe, which supports payment processing and payouts. Neither Unsittable nor its developer receives or stores your card details; that information is handled directly by Lemon Squeezy and Stripe under their own privacy and security practices. unsittable.com and its downloads are hosted on Cloudflare.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
• We do not put advertising or telemetry code inside the Mac app.
• We do not send camera frames, movement data, or license keys to advertising platforms.
• We do not collect your contacts, location, or other app usage on your Mac.

Your choices

You can revalidate or deactivate your license, and turn optional update checks on or off, from Unsittable's Settings at any time. To ask about a purchase, receipt, or license key, contact Lemon Squeezy through your order, or write to us directly.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the new version at this address.
